I was happy to finally get my hands on this Anime! I was even happier when I heard the opening theme song! Lonely is Gorgeous, by Tommy February6! I think it worked perfectly with it. Then when I heard the closing theme song, I was surprised to hear an English song! "Do You Want To" by FRANZ FERDINAND! It was great! I loved the Animation with it. Then I played “SingStar” just to sing that song. =P

Well, on with the Anime. When I started to watch it, there would always be a weird starting scene with creatures… Don’t know why. It was fun to finally see everyone Animated! They had tons of color bringing them to life. Just as I imaged they were. To help bring the humor to life, they did use Chibis to get the right effect. This was different to see, because they didn’t use that in “Nana”.

Sadly, the Anime isn’t as good as the manga, but seldom are. There was so much that could have been added! Oh well. They did do a great job on what they used. If you love seeing the Anime Versions, then check this one out!

Now for those who don’t know anything about Paradise Kiss, I’ll give a Quick story line for you. If you want a more in-depth review read my manga review.

Our main character is, Yukari. She is a very close-minded Girl. She is a Straight “A” student, and puts her whole life into school. One day when she is going to prep school, Arashi spots her. She runs and a cross-dresser, Isabel, catches her. At their studio, Arashi, Isabel, and Miwako tell her why they need her help. They need a model for their school project.

Later she meets George and she starts to open her eyes to the world. She runs away from home after a fight with her mother. Then gets a job as a model and goes back home.

Ina long run, she does wear the dress they make.

Like I said, this is a short story line. =P I’ll have more in the manga review. I really loved watching this! If you like this one try “Nan’, also by Ai Yazawa!
