The Adventure Vision was the 2nd Handheld made by Entex. This was a Micro Arcade. This little guy was one of the hungriest Handhelds out there. :P It needed 4 D sized batteries to be played. Well, 4 big ones aren’t as bad as 8 smaller batteries, like some others needed. :P
The controls were just like the real Arcades. You have a Joystick and 4 buttons. To help out all gamers to play, this had buttons on each side of it. One for the Right handed players and one for the Left Handed players. I believe that this was the first handheld to have this feature.
The screen on this thing was the same as the Nintendo Virtual Boy. It used a spinning mirror that only had 40 Red lines to draw the game on the screen. This is probably the system that helped the Virtual Boy get it’s Screens.
The coolest feature that this guy had was that you could store your other games right on top of it!! You could only have 4 on top at a time, but that was more then enough room. That’s because, only 4 games come out for it.
It’s really sad that this Handheld did not get the life it should have had. The gamers were just not ready for a system that was way before it’s time. Just like the Virtual Boy, this little guy dead due to the same thing.
