The Amiga CD32 is known as the 1st 32 Bit system to hit the market… That is, in the UK. The Fans of this System will say that it IS the 1st!!! But Sadly the FM-TOWNS MARTY was the 1st to be bought by the Gamers in Japan on February 14, 1993. The Amiga CD32 didn’t go on the shelves until September of the same year. When it was shown to the gamers at Science Museum in London, it was on 16 July 1993. So, it was the 2nd 32 Bit System to go to the Gamers. BUT!!!! It was the 1st 32 Bit System to be released in the UK and Canada.
Now you are probably wondering why I wrote all that… I just wanted to get it straight. OK. Know, I’ve been reading up on this System and watching tons of YouTube Videos to learn more about this guy. To what I saw and read, this was the one to have! It had some good games and great graphics for its time! Amiga really wanted to bring the gamers a great System just like before! And it sold more then The CD - i and the Sega Mega CD!! That wasn’t an easy thing to do. It’s really sad that the US release was never able to happen. This would have been a fun one to play. I can see why the Fans Fight over the right for the title of the 1st 32 Bit System.
