The Commodore PET was Commodores answer to the Texas Instruments calculator Freeze. After Texas Instruments made it down right impassable to buy their Chip set, Commodore fought back.
They made the Pet to be a Home Computer. It was a great idea for businesses. It also was great for gamers and families too. Sadly it never really had more then a Green Screen, but it could do what it needed to do.
With more and more Colors needed the Amiga was the next wave that finally killed it. Thou the fans still wanted more, it was time to say good bye.
